Standard Ribbons

The SilverScreen Solid Modeler has eight standard ribbons. The content of these ribbons is invariant, but their appearance can be changed and they may be enabled or disabled as desired.

Functionality

Draw

Standard "Draw" Ribbon

Configure Construction Space

Configure current pen color, width, or style

Draw primitive shapes (such as lines, circles, and polygons)

Draw and reshape curves

Draw 3D solids (such as cones, prisms, and spheres)

Sweep 2D profiles into 3D shapes (such as a square into a cube)

Annotate

Annotate

Create and edit annotation blocks

Configure the annotation environment

Insert dimensioning into the drawing

Insert text into the drawing

Edit

Edit

Undo, Redo, or Repeat the interactive portion of an activity

Perform 2D Boolean operations on closed primitives

Create offset primitives, fillet corners, or insert chamfers

Turn a polygon into its component primitives, or vice versa

Revise lines by breaking, trimming, or extending them at intersections

Modify the properties of geometry or the drawing

Geometry

Geometry

Configure the Entity Space, Axis, or Basepoint of geometry

Change the position, size, or rotation of geometry or apply shearing forces.

Change complex polygons into a triangular representation, or vice-versa

Perform 3D Boolean operations (such as union, intersection, or trim)

Slice or clip a solid via a plane

Test geometry for conformance with the definition of a solid model

Perform 3D fillet or chamfer operations

Structure

Structure

Change the hierarchical organization of the drawing

Create blocks or objects or delete geometry

Relocate entities from one block to another, or convert geometry to a model

Copy geometry via a pattern to create new geometry

Copy geometry from another drawing into the current

Insert models from libraries, or replace existing ones

Define, undefine, or exhibit geometry groups

Display a descriptive list of selected geometry

Render

Render

Configure the Texture Space of geometry

Edit the textures globally for a drawing

Configure the method used to present the drawing

Configure the light sources in the drawing, or the way light reacts on surfaces

Capture a series of views in a frame file, then render these later to produce sequential images

View

View

Configure or align the view

Change the background appearance

Select a standard view, change the projection, or explore the drawing visually

Zoom an area, all visible geometry, or selected geometry
